Our Story

HeritageFind was founded in 1994 by Catherine Whitmore, a certified appraiser who saw families struggling with the overwhelming task of liquidating a loved one's estate. What began as a solo appraisal practice has grown into Portland's most trusted full-service estate sale company.

Today, our team of certified appraisers, sale managers, and logistics specialists handles every aspect of estate transition — from valuation and marketing to cleanout and real estate coordination.

We've managed over 2,500 estates and returned more than $85 million to families. But the numbers only tell part of the story — what matters most are the relationships we've built and the peace of mind we've delivered.
